Hey Guys C:

Haha, today's message was about hearing God's voice by some unknown rich Christian Minister. Well at least he seems rich, big house, big car, driver lol.

Haha, well in case you guys missed any points, I'll summarise C:

-There must first be a desire to hear.
-We must know God's will for our life.

-Hearing God is not a gift nor does it depend on who we are.
-We must practise.
-Practise = spending time with Him, reading, memorising and applying His word to our lives.

-As Jeremy (Not me, I wish) shared on Friday, we have a body, soul and spirit.
-The spirit hears from God while the soul only distorts.
-Therefore, whatever, we hear from others, or think we hear from God, we must cross-reference with the bible.

-Prophecy must be double-checked with God's nature when we are both giving and receiving. For example, God would not place fear in us, OTHER than the fear of God. Prophecy is for encouragement and repentance, not to create fear in us.

-Lastly, sometimes God allows up to experience unsolvable problems in order to make us turn to him.
-In such situations, He will speak to us clearly, usually more than once and through various mediums. For example, as said by the preacher, eagles.

Haha, other than that, we should be meeting for FOP this Friday unless Anthony is unable to get the tickets. In that case, we may have cell outing C:

BUT.

How is your relationship with God :) are you guys loving Jesus more each day? Because our cell can have new people... but if we don't love God more and a deeper relationship with God den our cell would be just another social gathering ah. So spend time with God ah boys and ah girls :)

Combined service today was "slightly" different. Apparently there was no preaching and it was more of an interview with 3 successful mothers. I felt that though the idea was fresh, it was quite dry and most people were sleeping haha. Well......I guess Jake and I can't blame you if you did, but in the future, please at least try to look interested haha :D

Anyway, to those of you guys having Exams, just wanted to let you guys know that you're in our prayers, to take it easy and to trust in God :D
We're also very encouraged that many of guys came today despite your Exams being so close. Remember, God will never short change you of your time :D

Anyway, please keep Ashley in prayer. He happens to be down with a fever (Info from Johan). Also another reminder, youth service starts at 1.30 next week :D

On Monday was an exciting day for me and some of my cca friends. We went for our SYF competition held at the Victoria Concert Hall(VCH). We were the last group to perform. We clinched a bronze. We hoped to get a silver but it was an improvement as the year before, we got c.o.p. Thanks to God for what he has done.

Why do I always ask you guys if you all done ur devotion?

We always reply, we did our devotion BUT there is no change because we are not devoted to God

BUT!

If i am devoted to God, i WILL do my devotion because I am for Him and will do anything for Him

So... what does it be to be devoted?

Devoted = Commitment

Eg. If a Husband is REALLY devoted/commited to his Wife, even if there is a better woman, He will not be distracted and will love his wife wholeheartedly :)

So HOW DEVOTED ARE YOU TO GOD? =)

When we do our devotion, we spend time with God; When we read His Word, we know Him more =)

Don't do it because I tell you to do. If thats the case I'D RATHER YOU NOT DO AT ALL. God doesn't need half hearted or no quality time with Him because He is WORTHY OF OUR EVERYTHING!

So to make sure we all start devoting our abundant time to our Beloved God :)

1) We will, for every cell sharing this month have devotional sharing from each of us on our devotion and questions about. Things you do not understand share too and lets answer those questions together :)

2) Read 1 chapter of the Bible everyday starting from the Book of Matthew

3) Each person from our cell will posta devotional sharing on the blog every week beginning from Boonkang this coming week :)

so... after prayer meet... lunch was NEXT. had lunch with mr tan, darren, brandon and kevin. then we go nua at the "zone 3 corner" wah seh... so noisy... i told you guys should have tau poked boonkang right!! plus squeeze... squash... wack... so when go youth service we have healing rally den miracle! hhahahahaha no la.. where got so bad.. haha

YOUTH SERVICE! Praise and Worship... what do you guys think of it? i think its great right?
Remember ah... Praise and worship is NEVER about us FEELING God but its giving God what He DESERVES! thats why He is WORTH worshipping and praising and dancing!

A good sunday afternoon of soccer lol, we thrashed the yalam's under 15s 7:1 lol haha. Exciting time hahaha i think we were playing like manchester united haha cos they were basically having alot of the ball but can't do anything with it haha because our defence was so tight hahaha. And we scored when we counter attacked haha. Later we played soccer by ourselves... jeremy became a hero haha taking the ball and running wif it and started rugby lol... hero cracked his nail at the same time haha. It was a great time lah yup haha. BUT ONE THING PAY ATTENTION DURING SERVICE HEROS, GO PLAY SOCCER ALL DURING SVC PLAYING A FOOL JOKERS. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION AH.

Woohoo! It's my b'day today! Though, it was quite a bad day.. the morning was all school, afternoon was all cca, I am left with the evening and night. Though, I really had a great time with the soccer mates yesterday! Picture below (I think) I just love the cake they gave me, how thoughtful :P

So after we had our lunch on Sunday, we went to take bus 28.. Got 2 photos when walking up the overhead bridge

Cell this Friday was great. considering the fact that I was "pai sieh-ed" by both Jake and Anthon and given only 3 days to prepare word. Haha but jokes aside, I thank God that I was able to come up with something to share and that Cell went relatively well.

Anyway, EDWJ had recently been talking a lot about caring. Personally, I do care about a lot of things in life, however, the salvation of my friends never seemed to be one of them. Well, most of my great yet unsaved pals were almost ran-over by a car last Wednesday. Thank God they're still alive cause the driver wasn't sleeping, his brakes were okay and he wasn't as dead drunk as Christopher Lee. The point is, God made me realize how fragile life can be and that I should share more about Christ to each of them..

Haha, okay, I'm done.

We had a great time at Jeremy's house. It's not only the youth cell was there (ours), there was also the adult service outside the room. Jake and Anthon didn't came, they were busy. Haha, games were fun, good p&w and great words. So we took a photo, here's it.

Today .. Boon Kang and I went home together.. Before that, I use my E-Z Link to borrow table tennis bat. After playing, me and boon kang wanna go eat lunch together.. then at the traffic light is super long. We have to wait like 3 minutes... then bus 5 come! We panic sia, then try to run across but got the bus 5 blocking and some cars and no one was at the bus stop to stop bus 5. Then half way running the traffic light, the traffic light turned red! To the cars! :D
So gratefully, thank God..took the bus. Took out my wallet, tap on to the ez link thing, nothing happen. Sian, then use coins.. then took another bus back to school just to take my ez link. haha..

Finally while waiting on the bus stop, boon kang go pull my finger sia.. very pain .. :(

There's this classmate who pumped the ball pretty high and everyone calls him the pumper. Just that once... So, I hope everyone can pray for me, thx. =DDD

These few days, EDWJ seems to focus alot on how we should care for people eh... i particularly enjoy past two days Monday & Tues. Care is being Known & Care is Hope. Just a thought u'know, how much have you guys been giving people around you some attention? People always love to be known... i'm sure you guys enjoy being the centre of attention right? Be it 1 person attention on you or an entire class :D Something to ponder... have attention always been focused on yourself? Maybe its time to focus on people around you in your lives :) Care is being Known... when you give people attention... at times u suddenly realise... hey this person is actually sharing with me his/her problem! And who knows, you start to see yourself being used by God to give hope to the person... and strengthen his/her faith in God or even sharing God's great love to this person :)
